About Myona
Brief History
MYONA commenced trading in 1965 to serve Business’s in the West Midlands area from its base in Birmingham. Its core business was safety footwear, industrial gloves and work-wear.
The current owners purchased MYONA in 1987. The Directors brought with them over 30 year’s experience of supplying the facilities/cleaning industry from both a distributor and manufacturing market place. The philosophy they introduced is the same today as it was then ‘ to supply as efficiently as possible what customers require and when they require it ‘. This ethic has taken Myona to where it is today.
Distribution
The Company has a distribution fleet operating throughout the United Kingdom. The company also utilises both a National Parcel and Pallet Distribution service to maximise deliveries to its customers.
MYONA works to delivery patterns / schedules, which accommodates 85% of our business. The remaining 15% is facilitated by a system of response to need. We recognise we operate in a market place where response is essential; we always take steps to deal with this.
Operating time and Support
Myona’s Office hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm, Saturday 9 – 12.00pm. Senior managers are available via mobile phones to deal with out of hour enquiries. Because we operate a central hub system, there is always somebody available to make a decision.
Suppliers
We work in partnership with major manufacturer’s i.e. Numatic, R.P Adam, Johnson-Diversey/ Taski, Contico, Truvox, Prochem, Rugdoctor, Metza & MAC International etc and are also able to utilise other major manufacturers / importers who can supply the solution to meet our Customers requirements.
Personalised service
We consolidate orders for customers and try to go one step further, we can also offer customized work wear i.e.: individually named, badged and bagged.
Myona PDI and assemble trolleys, machinery and any relevant products either prior to delivery or on site if requested we will even assemble a broom, therefore, consequently when Myona deliver goods are ready and fit for use.
Training
MYONA offer unrivalled Project Management, Pre and Post delivery technical support and both on and off-site training. We also have a B.I.C.S. on-site training/conference facility at Myona’s premises in Birmingham, along with our own Trainers and Assessors, this has proven to be very successful with Councils, Schools, Contract Cleaners, Small, medium and large employers and the like.
